Cutting Xmas cake

What's the best way to cut a Xmas cake. Even with a sharp knife it always seems to end up in crumbs!

if it's anything like one of my mum's cakes.. a Black and Decker would come in handy!
Maybe warming the knife up first?
I alwas cut my cake with a warm knife and cut across the cake starting at the edgeabout half inch in or thicker if there is thick icing round the sides.

Thank you everybody (LOL sara) I never thought a warm knife would make any difference so will give it a try.
