Hi,

Im sure not eating it is just a precaution but....

Raw, rare, cured and undercooked meat or poultry of any kind is best avoided in pregnancy. It may contain salmonella bacteria and the toxoplasmosis parasite.

i think its best not to just in case!!! you dont want to end up poorly :o(

im craving nuts at the minute!!! i never eat them that much but just coz i cant have them!! i really want them!!! :o(

all the best xxx
It's your call at the end of the day. I've been eating salami all the way through my pregnancy because I didn't know it was on the banned list and by the time I did I figured I'd eaten enough of it not to worry.

It's really hard to avoid all the things they say and to be honest I think most of it is way over the top. I'm 40 weeks now and so the seafood is slowly creeping back into my diet.

I've craved runny eggs all the way through my pregnancy though I have resisted. Thing is I don't normally eat runny eggs anyway. Definitely a case of wanting what you can't have :)
I think you're advised to steer clear of pate made from any kind of liver because it contains levels of Vit A which can be harmful to unborn babies.
Of course its up to you to decide, the advice is over cautious just in case. I am 34 weeks and i have eaten eggs with runny yolks all the way through and been fine. i found some info about it that said how big the risk was, it was so small that i thought it would be fine. all eggs are treated now anyway. i am not sure about pate though i dont like it anyway. i also ate nuts through my first pregnancy and this one, we do have allergies such as eczema and hayfever in my family but my son does not have nut allergy.
