..............just a guess................with my very limited knowledge of coding..........it would seem that if you introduce a "null string"............a kind of "empty letter" into your name or answer...............the software can't handle it...................so..............zapppp

so why tell everyone that. So the numpties can now do it. well done
Question Author
.the numpties already know..................Whiffey just gave the solution in another thread................
right so if he gave solution why are you giving it?
Now now children calm down calm down we all know who is behind this and as matrix just said to me if we just ignore it then it will eventually get fed up with doing it
Not exactly The Builder, although anybody with a smidgin of SQL Server will be able to see what is probably going on. Most people have fortunately (me too) been reticent about mentioning it. Allowing NULL values in that column should fix it, but not the best solution. The input procedures on AB have always been a bit flaky.
Question Author
...........sorry 4get.............I was just guessing at the cause.......not the way to stop it.......................if I'm right, there are only a handful of people on here with the knowledge to be able to do this kind of thing.......................I certainly don't know how.............the solution lies with AB..........they have access to the software............
I dont think they will if we ignore it, its ok to ignore a post and carry on posting but how can we ignore it, we cant answer anything.
as I sais, there is nowt we can do. let the AB Ed and IT dept sort it out. so pitch up your tents and get the camp fires going as it could be a long wait
anybody with a smidgin of SQL Server will be able to see what is probably going on. well i have 3 two red and one black. no problem
Please can you all speak English......"null string....a kind of "empty letter"........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
exactly
null
Question Author
...............you're right Puss..................I'm just trying to raise the issue..............so that AB will do something about it :o)
I read summit here the other day by stewey about left space hold up etc etc sounded ike a cheat for a playstation game.
