How do you stop the fish sticking the the bottom of the wire pan in a deep fat fryer? I made some battered fish yesterday and it was a right mess trying to remove it.

Do you drop the fish straight in?
hold the fish by the end into the batter and only when a majority of it isn't wet anymore, then let it go and fall into the basket. The wet batter is what's binding to the basket & cooking with it on.

hth
personally i dont use the basket, just remove it and put fish to float free in the oil for required time, drain well and remove any bits of batter remaining
Your oil isn't hot enough.
