I always re-heat the next day. I can't stand wasting anything.
I try to use leftovers as far as possible. some things can just be reheated for next day or you can do as you did and add some sauces to tart it up a bit. I don't like throwing food away. Not only am I a pig but it's also very wasteful!
I usually reheat every thing the next day, but havent with fish as I thought that was a bit iffy, will now give it a go though! Thanks!
i had four meals out of a roast chicken last week - normal dinner, chicken sandwiches for lunch the next day, chicken and mushroom pie that evening and i made a chineese chicken and sweetcorn soup the following day - as you can see i was quite proud of myself!!
I do exactly the same thing Cardi. I tend to freeze carcases to make stock or gravy as well.
Any leftover veggies - make soup! Tin of tomatoes (chop them up yourself as its cheaper). Chicken or beef stock (cube) burble it all up then zap in the liquidiser. I now cook more veg than I need just so I can make soup.
no leftovers in my house, they call me the human dustbin!
I hate waste too! I generally freeze any leftovers or else take it for my lunch into work the next day!
