Do you put any of the following in your fridge?

1) Eggs
2) Veg (if it is going to be eaten soon)
3) Various pickles (i.e onions, wallys, beetroot etc)
4) Ketchup, mayo, Branstons etc
5) Tinned fish (tuna, pilchards etc)
6) Chocolate (in the winter)
7) Tinned corned beef, spam etc
8) Tetra pack fruit juice, long life milk (if for stoarage only)

The reason I ask is none of these are chilled in Waitrose, yet many seem to put them in the fridge. Also Ketchup, for example, states refridgerate once opened. I say this is not necessary.

Nothing wrong with fridge content trivia, when facts and a general dicussion may ensue.

See I do keep eggs in fridge but they dont in supermarkets so I dont know why I do. Anything tinned I put in cupboards, veg goes in bottom of fridge in a huge tray. Chocolate always fridge, I have a condiments cupboard so everything goes in there apart from mayo, I like that chilled, Juice in fridge and dont get long life milk. Pickles in fridge.

Yes to all except tuna, corned beef and spam and tetra packs that aren't being used. The ketchup seperates if it's not in the fridge though if you shake it as I always do it doesn't really matter but I like cool ketchup, especially on an omlette if the omlette is hotter than the fires of hell.
I keep jars in the cupboard unless they have been opened,
ketchup should be in the fridge anyway once opened, as there is a mould issue.

I keep potatoes out, tins in the cupboard unless they have been opened, tetra pack juice cupboard unless opened!

Tinned Spam is on most of the top restaurants in London nowadays. Great food.

Tinned corned beef is much better in hashes than fresh deli slices.

As a general snob of most things in life, I honestly fail to see chavity in Ketchup or Mayo etc.

I always have long life milk in case fresh stuff runs out. As I drink up to 5 pints a day, one has to have supplies. Actually long life is sometimes very nice. The half fat semi UHT is often very creamy.

I refuse to have ketchup, hp, mayo or any other artificial (sp) sauce that comes out of a bottle in the house, I prefer to make my own. Probably shouldn't have called it chav food, apologies everyone.
