urgent - oven proof dish straight from fridge to oven

my left overs have been in an ovenproof casserole (not cast iron but some sort of ceramic type material, an old fashioned one my mum used to use with bright orange flowers all over it - sorry, irrelevant!) and this has been in the fridge for a good 24 hours. is it ok to put the casserole dish and contents straight from the fridge into an oven preheated to approx gas 4. it contains pork, cooked once already and i intend to cook it for approx half an hour. my initial Q was regarding whether the dish was likely to crack, but now i wonder if the contents will become hot enough to be safe???

To be on the safe side, you should heat it up more gradually and make sure the pork is piping hot, according to my nan that is.
Depends how cold your fridge setting is. If it is not too cold it should be fine. If in doubt just let it warm up to room temperature for 10 minutes or so. For the cooking it will become hot enough in half an hour.

Perhaps you could just put it in a pot and heat it on the hob instead?
put in a metal spoon to conduct heat
That can work when pouring hot liquid into a glass or ceramic container, Tambo, but won't work when heat is applied to the outside, as in the question.
