What are Bouillon Cubes ?

like stock cubes; intensely flavoured little blocks in various flavours. you can also get them as a sort of powder. you use them as a base for sauces, risotto, gravy etc

'bouillir' means 'to boil' in French and so I think 'bouillon' simply means 'stock'. The best is Marigold bouillon powder!

that's good stuff yeah and they do a low salt version i think

salt [usually seasoned, i.e. with celery salt] and chicken or beef fat. The fat has been reduced by long cooking to capture the fullest flavor.
