Corsica GR20
Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place; please let me know of anywhere more appropriate.
I plan to do the full walk in 2008 and would be grateful for advice about the severity of the walk for backpacking. I am a walker not a climber, and not in the first flushes of youth. For example, I have started to experience touches of vertigo in recent years. I suppose it is the Cirque de la Solitude that makes me feel a little anxious. Any advice would be welcome. For comparison, I don't panic on Jake's Rake in the Lake District, but parts of the Tatras would make me nervous with a full pack on my pack.

Normally I hate it when somebody posts a response here which says "Why don't you Google it?". However, I feel compelled to offer this advice because searching for 'Corsica GR20' brings up plenty of personal experiences.
I've found that this site gives me a good impression of the walk. (I've got a Mountain Leader award but I reckon that I'd be 'out of my depth' for much of the GR20). Click on the 'day by day' links, at the bottom of the page, for comments on the conditions. Click on the thumbnails for larger pictures:
