This is quite a strange question, most of you won't have a clue what I'm on about. However, does anyone know where I could get some bilthong in or around York? Thanks.

Not able to find anywhere in York but here's an online retailer for you to try.

You may be surprised Step just how many of us do know. ;-)

Thanks for the link sft42 - my son keeps saying how delicious it is, so now perhaps I'll buy some.

They sell bilthong in the Springbok bar near Covent Garden in London. A quick search of Yell.com reveals that there is a Spingbok bar in Leeds, maybe you can find some there. Here is the address:
The Springbok Sports Bar
20-24, Woodhouse Lane
Leeds West Yorkshire
LS2 8LX
Yep scrummy stuff, though when you see it hanging out to dry with all the flies hanging around (in Zambia anyway where I first came across the stuff) it does put you off a bit!
I quite like the stuff and a lot of bars(pubs) sell it. It's better than nuts or crisps.
Can't think of the name or street off hand, but there's a very good delicatessen very close to York market. If they don't sell it, they may be able to put you on the right track. I've often seen it spelt as biltong, so try a web search on that!
