I tend to snack around 2-4 as I don't eat breakfast or lunch. My snack of choice is crackers (without any toppings) - all sorts: cream crackers, butter puffs, wholegrain with bits etc etc. but I know that these arent the healthiest of foods. Could someone suggest some low-cal, non-carb alternatives that I could switch to besides carrot and celery sticks!

A request: could no one please suggest that I start eating breakfast/lunch - I've never done it and don't feel comfortable doing it. Thanks in advance!

ricecakes? althougth they taste like cardboard, the "snack a jacks" variety are a minor improvement! Ryvita multigrain are quite tasty and very low fat/cal etc. I've found some crackers in Waitrose: No-No Flatbreads, they are delicious and I think quite healthy! At the end of the day they'd all taste better with a slab of butter and some cheese - but that wasn't the question!!!

Thanks Katiesara - I'd especially like some non-carb suggestions, as I'm a carbohydrate junkie and tend to consume plenty of these in the day as it is. Would ricecakes be classified as carbs?
Sorry beenee, ricecakes do count as carbs (I didn't read the question properly - it was late!) Although they are unrefined carbohydrate which is supposed to be a better type of carb!
Have you tried beef jerky? It's low fat and no carb, high in protein though. I often snack on it through the day at work because I don't eat breakfast or lunch either. Unfortunately it's not easy to get hold of in the UK but you can order it from www.wildwestjerky.co.uk.
