Does anyone suffer from the above, if so, how do you control it. I get stomach cramps about two hours after eating. Thought it was only certain foods that triggered it, but its after everything i eat. Taking Spasmonol for the pain, dont seem to be working. Also has anyone tried Acidophilus for IBS, and is it safe to take with other medication from the doctor. Thanks

My husband started getting bouts of this and has found taking Aloe Vera tablets (before going to bed) very beneficial. (They were recommended by my hairdresser, she says she wouldn't be without them). So whilst this isn't advice from a professional, I can only say that the two people I know who suffer from IBS have found some relief from taking them.

Are they available from Health Shops.
yes they are-but i swear by spore gone tablets, they are a mixture of caprylic acid, known for expelling intestinal gas and calming the intestines, golden seal, dried oregano (essential for IBS) nd its the only thing that has worked. I cant remember the company who makes them as i always ring up, but their number is 0845 0 943 627 and ask 2 see their website x

Thanks.
The tablets I've mentioned are called Aloe Pura - I get them from Holland & Barratt, but they're probably available from other places. Hope you find some relief soon x
Peppermint tea is good for cramping.

I suffer too but not as bad as i used to and I havent changed my diet or anything.

It is very much stress related so try and take time to chill out when you can. Also, don't eat big meals as that tends to trigger it.
