I used to live near a place called Sidcup and there was an Indian resturant there called the Sonaga. It was amazing like nothing I have eaten before or after, I cant even explain how different it was it was just so good. Anyway all of a sudden with no warning it closed down, it was always busy so couldnt have been lack of trade. A while later it reopened but it was obvious it was totally new people who were just using the name and therefore reutation of the previous owners as the food was good but just like every other indian. What I want to know is does anybody know what happended to it. I'm sure the answer will be no but I'm desperate.

I don't know about yor specific place, but have found a couple of Indian restaurants who cook from fresh rather than microwave. One, in Hampstead, closed down, probably because they used to take so long to make it , but Bobby's in the centre of Harrow is probably still there if you want genuine Indian dishes, not reheated from a warehouse.

Thanks for the reply. I didnt expect to get an answer to be honest so thanks at least for trying. I have been to many many resturants in search for an experience similar to the Sonaga and there have been many good ones and many not so good ones, but never have I found one that was anything like the Sonaga. Its hard to explain but it was almost as if it was no curry but something different. The chicken for example just sort of melted in your mouth in a way I have never seen before or again, it was sort of pink but in no way uncooked almost nothing like chicken (maybe it was cat :) ).
