oh, the memories... I remember raspberry and the choc ones, a real treat when we were kids. I've not seen them since, shame.

I remember making one (from scratch, not a packet). It was called Lemon Surprise Pudding - the surprise being that beneath the sponge was a lemon sauce. But I've lost the recipe, and have failed to find one on the net. But it's out there somewhere!
I've gotr the recipe somewhere in the house.I'll look for it tomorrow and post it on the site.you can also make it with chocolate and coffee which was my childrens favourite!
Is this saucy pudding as in made with cocoa power and a spoonful of coffee? It has a saucy underneath and a sponge on top? If so I can provide the recipe.
sorry, just read mrsann's reply -that sounds like the recipe I'm thinking of. I'm at work at the moment but have the recipe on a bit of paper at home as I got if off my mum. I'll post it when I'm home from work tonight.
If someone has the recipe I'd love to make it again : )
I make Lemon Delight :-
preheat oven to 180 deg. C.
Lightly butter an ovenproof dish and stand it in a large roasting tin.
Cream 2 oz. Marg. and 2.5 oz. Caster Sugar well, gradually beat in 2 egg yolks. Mix in grated rind of large lemon (I use 2 small) and 1.5 oz. S.R. Flour. Add juice of lemons and 225 ml. milk mix until very smooth.
Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold gently into the lemon mixture and pour this into the buttered dish.
Pour enough just-boiled water to come halfway up the sides of the dish, then carefully transfer to the oven and cook for about 35-45 minutes until sponge is firm.
Serve immediately or the sponge will soak up all the sauce.
