Chilli Oil

How do you make chilli oil? I tried just putting some fresh chilli peppers in some olive oil, but the chilli peppers went furry and the olive oil went cloudy! All advice appreciated.

When my local supermarket stopped selling my favourite chilli oil, I put dried chilli's into olive oil and left it for a couple of days and hey presto, chilli oil !!!

maybe just the seeds would be better, rather than the whole chilli?

I have done it ,,, dry fry with a little garlic for about a minute ... add while still warm to the oil ... works a treat ...

I buy Extra Virgin Chilli oil from Sainsbury's.
