All ages welcome... I liked the hot jawbreakers, beer bottles, milk bottles and I loved Fab and Zap ice lollies... which somehow look much smaller! X

spangles
penny caramels. broken biscuits. lucky potatoes.
lucky potatoes? what sweets were they?
Lucky potatoes? Mmmm they sound nice.......

I liked Chewits - the purple and blue ones, and fizzy chewits, white mice, zoom lollies, Fabs, tooty frootys (had some last week and they're 'orrile now), jelly tots and toffos (the different coloured ones).

Zaps were horrible and still are.
yes i had some tootie fruities (after hunting high and low for them for my sis) and they had changed in taste and i dunno about you but they were really hard.

i use to love wham bars - hate them now. Oh and loved foam mushrooms, in fact i loved most penny sweets (they were the days). Ice cream jaw breakers and popping candy.
my absolute favourite is tunnocks caramel wafer biscuits

i could never get enough, they are so yummy

mmm.. what are Spangles?? Am i too young to remember these?? haha
I too loved Milk Bottles, the ones you buy now are just not the same. Sherbet fountains and sherbet dib dabs were also a fave! in fact they still are!!. I eat far too many of them.xx
wham bars, hard liquorice sticks, fruit salad and blackjacks, bonbons, pear drops now i'm seriously addicted to moams, really i have a problem!
Spangles were good, especially the 'Old English'
Crunchies and banana split chewy bars spring to mind.
Traffic light lollipops, milk chews, kali (have I spelt that correctly?) and fishy fish.
Spangles, Pacers, OPAL FRUITS (why did they change the name, they are still OPAL FRUITS!! All the penny sweets, cola bottles, chocolate mice, fizzy fish, flying saucers, Sherbet
Highland toffees, laurel and hardy lollipops and mega-bite ice lollies (nobody seems to remember mega-bites!)
I was quite lucky when I was little my brother and I got to sample new sweets before they came on the market.

I loved some sort of spearmint chew and they had a similar one that tasted of cola I think they were cola cubes. It would have been about 1983.

I also liked cadbury Sipra bars where did they go?
I liked space dust!
also a type of chocolate button which was like 2 buttons stuck back to back! they were in a white bag with animals on the front, I have never managed to find anyone else who remembers them.
I used to love Banana Palm Toffee, 'specially sucking it to make it soft & to see how long I could stretch it - yummy!

Also loved Old English Spangles & Buttons Coconut Squares!
I think, I might be a lot younger than the rest of you submitting posts, as I have not heard of most of these sweets but my fave were deff flying saucers
leaf - I remember them. They were Galaxy Counters and now you can only find them in packets of Revels. They are the only ones I like!
Fruit salad, black jacks, cherry lips, sweet peanuts (they used to stick to the paper bags!!) ,spanish gold , something called cushions?? bit perfumey ,hard triangular things lol . Shrimps were great too but i tried some recently and they just weren't the same!
Going back to MACCFLUFF's post. I wonder what ever happened to thos little solid liquorice/spanish sticks? they used to last for ever as you dipped em in the sherbert.
Was called "Kayli" but not got a clue how the correct spelling goes
I think it's spelt Kali :o)
