Dunno, give it a whirl.....
if you start to feel iffy after a bit then yes it'd be dangerous to eat 'em.
Why not put them in boiling water and make a tea out of them - at least that way you will kill any harmfull bacteria
Smoke them if they're really dry. (Ahh, memories...)
Nah dry mushys are ok as long as you want the trip (in fact dried ones are illegal - and more potent - as they're classed as "prepared", ie. the intent is there) - sprinkle them on pizza and have a great evening tripping :o)

flipflop - It wasn't the dried out-ness of them, but the fact they are 2 years old! Reckon thats still ok??
Yes give it a whirl and then the giant bacteria will probably kill you off as they approach with their giant feelers ... ugh .... don't do things that mess with your brain, believe me I have seen the consequences.
Sorry to sound like a boring old f@rt but I did all that, smoked all that etc 30 years ago. Personally I'd put them in the bin unless you know exactly what they are.

Sorry to be a party pooper or whatever you might call me these days.
I wouldn't eat them, but I'd go along with the drinking/ smoking ideas. If you don't use them, send them to me!

Have a great weekend ;-)
I reckon if they're dried out they'll be ok even at 2 years old. Try just a little bit to start with and see how you go.
