I taped this and watched it over the weekend and was flabbergasted when the food critic paid �77 for a fillet of beef!! OK it was organic and had been talked to for Lord knows how long by Prince Charles at Highgrove, but that price is just obscene.

we bought a whole fillet from our local butcher and it came to 80 quid!! i thought that was reasonable!!!

osprey - you don't know the cost of fillet, then.

It was a good price for organic.

�40 - �50 per kilo - thats the price for organic beef fillet. Spot on with what was paid.

Think what you would pay a head in a restaurant for the equivalent - certainly be an expensive meal.....
