War film scene....which film is it????

I have been racking my brains all week....i remember a scene from a war film where two factions ( can`t remember who was fighting) were at some fortification with a well of water ( which was dry) the scene i remember is someone pretending to wash their hands while someone else poured the precious water into a jug ( making the enemy think they have lots of water) Please help and answer my question, then i might get some sleep at night lol
