Does anyone remember these: Texan bar, really chewy, covered in chocolate, took ages to eat. The cartoon advert was for a cowboy, captured by mexicans and tied to a post, given a last request (A last request Gringo?)and he said he'd eat his Texan bar, (tear open the wrapper and chew, real slow), took ages, all the mexicans fell asleep waiting for him to finish and he escaped! Also Nutty, a chocolatey centre, covered in toffee, then rolled in peanuts, came in a dark brown see-through plastic wrapper.
I must get out more!!!

I remember them well. I must have been the only kid in my area who hated them. Now I seem to be the only adult in my area who dislikes Pringles.
I don't recall texan bars but there was a similar advert with a wild west theme and cowboys which has become a family joke as my mum took me to the shops for a sweet and I asked for MANSKICHEWS and my mum and shop attendant hadn't a clue and asked me to pick it out si Ilifted a packet of TOFFOS - the caramel not fruit falvoured kind.

We were walking home when we met our neighbours and the son was the same age and he said YOU'RE LUCKY YOU'VE GOT MANSKICHEWS. Both mother's were bewildered.

At home I was watching the tv and the adverts were on and I shouted my mum through I SAID LOOK MANSKICHEWS - THE COWBOY ON SCREEN SAID

TOFFOS WHEN A MAN'S GOTTA CHEW A MAN'S GOTTA CHEW

LOL
