cooking a chicken

Hi please can I have some inspiration!

I saw on tv a while back a way of roasting a chicken, I think it was sat ono a bed of carrots and somethnig else, then loads of white wine was poured all around it, then it was roasted, then I think cream was added, but i cant remember.. did any one see this programme, or do you have any other ideas on how to cook a whole chicken with all of those ingredients?!
I Have checked out the bbc food website adn good as it is, I cant find anything on there! Thanks in advance
