No it is not!!!!! Chillis are very high in vitamin c, are excellent for cold relief, so go on tuck in heartily.

Also the 'hot' chemical in chillis, capsiesin, releases endorphines into the system , natures happy pill.

if that was true, i would have been dead since i was two. i love chillies, i cannot eat without it.
Ripe chillis are high in vitamin C, but if you're liable to mouth ulcers I don't think they'd do much for you !
Two many can do you damage. I know someone who ate 5 as a bet while drunk and ended up in hospital with kidney damage!

I eat birdseye chillis raw while cooking. The ultimate treat is a fresh fatali habanero, but only in very small pieces.

lol.... one wiff of a chilli and my throat swells up and i end up on the floor stopping breathing. They're deadly to me.....

Epipens for me then....;-)

i once read (not sure if it is scientifically proven) that eating chillis affect the the nerve ending at the base of the skull, i also know someone who is litterally addicted too them, they are very nice though
A natural method of preserving food in the tropics which I expect does the same for my body.
YES!!!! They give you a sore bum if you eat too many of them. Like what I have today. :o(
And buy here: http://www.southdevonchillifarm.co.uk/ from July to the Autumn for fresh peppers, with UK wide deliveries of British grown chillies - so no air miles to worry about...

If your not used to eating chilli then start with mild one's

I ate a raw birdeye chilli whole and my ass bled - nice eh!

I'm hardcore, Wilsonator. I can handle it. I don't have a problem.

A Thai friend ate such hot chillis over a long period of time that her taste buds where covered in cysts - she now (and probably forever) has no taste buds left

The natural pain killer that chillis release is addictive, so you can physically crave chillis and effectively become addicted

Oh, and it is certainly very, very, very bad for you if you touch a chilli seed and then any of your: eyes, nostril, nether regions.

I've just had a big bowl of noodles with beef and greens and lashings of sliced chillis in white vinegar and I feel pretty darn good, although the wine may have helped. (It is much later here than there)
