I understand that the contaminated cod liver oil is batch 607D. I can only find a lot number on mine. Any ideas how I can track down the batch of my supply?

Thanks

Not sure if this answers your question tiger, but on the seven seas website, it lists all the products, together with the relevant LOT number and expiry date, that have been withdrawn. The LOT numbers all appear to be six digit numbers.

Thanks LazyGun I got the info. I needed and I'm pleased to say that my packs are OK.
I didn't know there was a recall problem with Seven Seas Cover liver oil. Is this for the capsules? As I take it daily, was wondering what the problem is.
Take a look at the seven seas website wendy. As far as I can tell, the batches in question have been withdrawn because there is a slightly higher concentration of impurities than they allow, but they stress that this is not harmful to health.

There is a list of the products in question, and the lot numbers of those that have had a product recall.

Hi Wendy,

The capsules have a slightly higher level of dioxins than usual. Dioxins are carcinogenic. Apparently the ones on sale have been withdrawn but those sold have not been recalled as the risk is small.
