Any good tips for keeping fizzy pop, fizzy?

I just wandered, it's never the same the next day. Has anyone got any tips to help pop keep it's fizz?

If you go to Lakeland or Robert Dyas they sell a screw top thingy called Fizz Keeper.Works really well.

i heard that if you put a teaspoon in the can then thats supposed to work, but your probably on about bottles, so just fasten it tight.

Squeeze out as much air as you can from the bottle before you tighten the cap. The bottle ends up a bit misshapen but it works for me.

dont put it in the fridge. Leave it out.

the teaspoon trick works with champagne not tried with 'pop'!
