Bought the turkey breast today at asda use by date is 25th dec,I did ask if ok to be cooked on christmas day but my daughter isnt very keen. it is vacumed sealed should I open it or leave it sealed. many thanks

If unsure you could always freeze it and take out xmas eve. Food suppliers tend to be fairly generous with their sell by dates and generally you can go a few days past this date and still be perfectly safe.
That's true, they usually set the dates earlier than the truth to avoid lawsuits!
Cross your fingers and toes when you eat it.
Seriously, leave it in its original packaging and then cook on Christmas Day. It will be fine. Food does not know when to go off and cannot read the label.
