What food did you enjoy eating most this Christmas. ( not drink) I bought a small joint of brisket. I popped it in a thick freezer bag first and boiled it for an hour, then into a hot oven and roasted it over. Yummy!

Scallop gratin as made by my daughter. A real touch of luxury and not a turkey or roastie in sight...my kind of food. Yesterday and today I've had more cheese, salami and pate than I can shake a stick at...love it all.
I'll admit that brisket is not something I'd ever choose...not really a beef eater.
Oh yes, Boxing day dinners were always better (without turkey). Cold meats, cheese creamy mash, pickles and salad. Yesterday him indoors and me *** in to a pukka pie, mash and carrots - how exciting!!
Why was tucked in starred out??
Lottie - Perhaps you hit the key one-down and to the left...? :o)
Perhaps my finger slid down the keyboard!
Snap, Jack :0)
Great minds.....and all that. LoL
Hope it was a typo Pat, otherwise you and the hubby have some strange Christmas traditions :-D

No turkey for.me either. Not a fan of the big bird. Pork, gammon and chicken for me.
It might have been exciting ******* into a pukka pie!
Again great minds think alike Mozz!!
Great minds or twisted minds Pat? ;-)
Sounds like we should all have a Pukka Pie to lighten the mood.
LOL exactly!!
a pukka pie pukking party Mamya!!
I'll put my best teeth in, save any mishaps.
You do realise that I shall now giggle everytime OH presents me with a Pukka pie and he will be very confused as to why!
I had steak and kidney pudding and chips for my Christmas dinner and I enjoyed it as much as I did as a kid.
This Saturday (fingers crossed) I'll be having Christmas dinner with my youngest daughter her hubby and my 2 youngest granddaughters and I love the way she does roasted parsnips and potatoes, so looking forward to that.
Pukkaphilia is a rapidly increasing crime.
I simply love steak and kidney pud, Barsel. I used to make them frequently, all tied up in a cloth and cooked for hours. Yummy.
What are they like Lottie? I've never tried one, but I do like pies and puddings. Savoury and sweet!
