What food did you enjoy eating most this Christmas. ( not drink) I bought a small joint of brisket. I popped it in a thick freezer bag first and boiled it for an hour, then into a hot oven and roasted it over. Yummy!

What is brisket? Is it dead flesh?
I most enjoyed eating nut roast with roast potatoes and brussels sprout with bread sauce.

The Brisket is beef, but a much cheaper cut. The breastbone area of the cow.
I did a large joint of topside along with the Turkey breast so yesterday I sliced what was left, made meaty gravy from the stock and we had hot beef rolls for tea, that was delicious
LoL....
Q; How can you tell if someone is a vegetarian?
A; Don't worry, they'll let you know you soon enough.....

Our Christmas dinner was done to a turn and it would be difficult to pick out a single element for special mention.

However, the broccoli and stilton soup starter (made from scratch by Mrs JtH) was particularly well-received.
I enjoyed the main event which was Capon, beef Wellington and all the trimmings. The celeriac puree was absolutely delightful.
leftovers. its the best bit!
my sausage, chips & beans - yummy!

I adore beef, but for some reason beef Wellington is a no no, can't explain why?
Cold turkey and ham with lots of pickles, leftover sauces etc and creamy buttery mash on Boxing day.. Always my favourite
We always have Christmas dinner subs on Boxing Day and they are by far my favourite. Although, the rest of the leftovers are being turned into a Christmas Pie tonight, so that might beat the subs.
My large rare sirloin steak!
Cold turkey and gammon with bubble and squeak- with a sprinkle of grated cheddar - and and assortment of pickles

No one had chips + yet :0)
I've got in laws coming tomorrow for leg of lamb dinner. I'm looking forward to doing the same prawn and scallop cocktail I did on Christmas Day. MIL was here when I was making it and so I had to promise to make it for her too.
We had CHIPS with our rare steaks ,-and onion rings and mushrooms cooked in butter, brandy and garlic and roast tomatoes in olive oil and basil. Best Christmas dinner ever and very quick and easy!
I enjoyed the cauli cheese made by my son in law, the red cabbage with cranberries cooked with port and the slow cooked beef with rich gravy.

By the way, brisket is one of my favourite cuts.
I had CHIPPY CHIPS (Harry Hill)
I enjoyed the coq au vin (from the excellent 'Cook' range of frozen foods) I had on Christmas Day but I loved my famous pilchard bake yesterday just as much. ('Famous' because I've given out the recipe countless times on here on AB. It's simplicity itself!)
Go on then Chris, give us the recipe. OH is very fond of Pilchards and sardines. It's not stargazy pie is it? ;0)
The gammon I had yesterday was lovely. I've always preferred Boxing Day dinner, cold meats, boiled taters, bubble and squeak, pickles etc to the Christmas Day roast.
