Diagonal if the bread is square, halved otherwise.
Halved, that way you eat all the square end of crust (the worst bit) first & have the top half to look forward to. It's the little things that get me through :-)
Always diagonal. Its completely irrational I know but there seems to be more midle and less crust that way. !
Haha@ Vagus, nice one :0))))
I agree with Rose
Diagonal twice (to make four teeny triangles), but halved if using bacon or sausage.
Halved.
Halved across the width.
Halved.
Nope got to be diagonal man :0)))))
Halved, unless its Bernard Matthews Cheese Hamwhiches which are triangle in shape, so makes sense to go diagonal:

And whole if filled with bacon and egg!
4 little triangular sarnies only if it's tuna & cucumber. Otherwise, once across the miggle :-)
Ken now ya talking' tuna and cucumber , oh yes !!
I can picture that scene with your little triangle sandwhiches.
Quartered in squares.
Triangular.
Soldiers.
What ever way you prefer.....it does not matter at all.
when you are 8 it matters - you ought to hear my daughter complaining when I cut her sandwiches up in an "embarrassing" way
