My local Morrison's used to sell Heinz big soups for £1.00 for a long while , now gone up to £1.15. Max crisps have been £1.00 nearly all this year now gone up to £1.88. Lee and Perrins Worcester sauce £2.20 , last one I bought £1.70

yes, butter £1.80!
Only to be expected under the circumstances, I suppose.
also the big soups seem rather less big lately
I'm sure everything has gone up. I've been using Sainsbury's click and collect since the lockdown but usually shop mainly at Aldi and Iceland. I was moaning how much the groceries were costing at Sainsbury's ( average £175 per week) so OH did a shop at Aldi -normally we would spend about £90 -the bill came to £125 for basically the same stuff we were buying before lockdown.
£1.80 for butter? I've been paying £2 for half of Lurpak for a long time.
Butter has been £1.80 for a very long time. I haven't noticed price rises
Lurpak has always been dearer than other butters but it's the only one I like.
I get my butter...West Country with sea Salt...from Lidl. 1.65
not just supermarkets

Have you been able to get big bottles of Worcestersdauce? All I've found locally are little ones.
Yes, a pack of 16 paracetamol has been about 30p for years. Now it’s 75p. That’s a huge leap. I spent £100 odd pound on food today. It was normally about £60.
Jno, I was wondering where the big bottles of Worc sauce have gone too.
I couldn't even get lea and Perrins for a few months and had to get Tesco one
it's been a talking point in NW London, Cloverjo. Waitrose still have the little ones but nobody else seems to have any at all. Maybe Worcester has been swept by Covid.
Sainsbury's used to sell their own brand of gin which was very palatable for the price. Since the lockdown there hasn't been a bottle to be seen.
You can get huge bottles of L & P sauce from Amazon. I pay 25p for 16 paracetamol, or you can get three for £1 at Poundland.
Why should you pay £1 for three when they're only 25p each?
I doubt you can get 3 paracetamol as they are only allowed to sell 2 at a time
Poundland can sell three at a time. Don't know how but they do.
Actually, just checking my receipt today, I notice that Lurpak has gone down from £2 to £1.70 per half. Some good news.
If you think supermarket prices are on the rise have a gander at the post lockdown pricelists in barbers and hairdressers.

Mine has gone from £6.50 to £10.00 for a standard chop.

I might just DIY or go back to my youth, split ends and all. :-)
