Just found two McVities Jamaican ginger cakes at the back of the cupboard, expiry date end of Feb.
I have the usual storecupboard things..baked beans, flour, ketchup, custard powder, cooking chocolate, curry powder, etc.
Any ideas?

Take one ginger cake, slice thickly lengthwise, apply butter, eat with the beverage of your choice. Repeat tomorrow Place remaining items in the space previously occupied by the cakes and keep for an emergency.

Ooh, pasta, that sounds like a good idea, in the future when eggs appear in the shops again.
I wonder if the cake would just dissolve into the custard? Not that it would matter.
I’ve actually put both cakes in the freezer for now but thanks for the ideas.
