Water In Pressure Cooker Query?

hi i want to cook some peas, some oil and 1 tin of tomatoes in my pressure cooker for 10 mins with a little water.Can i cook it without water or will it not be safe? if i have to put water, how much should i use to make it a stew please?

If you are using dried peas PLEASE make sure they are in a bag of some kind. The first time we did that we had a green ceiling when the safety valve blew because the peas had blocked the pressure valve.
will be ok with or without water 10 mins seems a bit of a long time though.
Normally, the minimum amount of fluid (total volume) in a small/medium pressure cooker should be no less than about 140ml (say about a quarter of a pint). In a large one, 250 to 300ml.
