Thursday. Mainly cloudy and showers apparently. Summers is over then! Never mind, soon be spring!

Back to the surgery today, yesterday was a shuttle between surgery and The Vale hospital, neither of them seemed to know what to do. I'm due to se the gorgeous one sometime soon, to day, I hope!
Not as lot of running around to do thankfully.

Wonderful. But then, he has a wonderful mum.

Fingers crossed for some good weather next week. The footings are in, LordMG just needs to sort the drains out now and then we can carry on. There's building materials on our driveway blocking in the skip which we could do with getting rid of and both our cars are parked on the road.

I'll be so glad when this is all over.

The neighbours held things up considerably, WBM. They really messed us around with signing the Party Wall Agreement.

And there's me moaning about doing one room.

CG what was the neighbours problem? From what I remember, your plan was sound.

Yes...but the new sofa is coming tomorrow and the walls haven't been plastered yet, or the floor stained.

Hysteria from the women mostly - the one in the detached property thought there was going to be subsidence when we dug out the foundations and her house was going to come crumbling down. The woman in the attached house said we were going to block out her light ( not true ). We threatened (nicely) to appoint Surveyors in the end which would have been costly to all parties. It was the women creating problems, not their husbands.

all good..still raining ! food shop today..oh joy !

CG I remember well renovating the large house in Norfolk..trouble with a capital T ! took well over a year.. new roof ..electrics..plumbing..windows..heating....new bathrooms...kitchen..floors... nightmare time ! Good luck !
