Fish Sticks, Anybody Ever Tried Them?

I took it that since you addressed your post to me, you were referring to my previous post when I put:

No mention of fish fingers there.

I used to love them but have vague memories that they were made of crap and got bad press and stopped eating them, in fact don't recall seeing them for ages. And to confirm we are talking fishsticks/crabsticks, the pink and white things you ate cold- completely different to fish fingers (or gougons).

I still buy them now and then from Tesco.

They are also served in Chinese crab and sweetcorn soup.

Most are made from a fish called Tempura which the Japaneses use to make fish paste. It is totally tasteless so needs colouring and flavouring.

Can't bring myself to try it. The only fish that I ever have is from the chippy.
