The brown meat from crab is lovely. Crabsticks are ok, but shouldn’t have “crab” in their name, IMO.
Jo...they don't anymore. It's crab flavoured.
Jackdaw...Tempura is a Japanese dish of batter fried prawns or vegetables.
Surimi is what fish/crab sticks are made of...

Fish stick typical ingredients!

Water, Surimi (35%) [Processed Alaska Pollock Protein (Fish), Sugar], Potato Starch, Sugar, Wheat Starch, Salt, Rapeseed Oil, Soya Protein, Flavourings [contains Crustaceans, Flavour Enhancers: Disodium Inosinate, Ribonucleotides], Egg Albumin Powder, Colours: Carmine, Capsanthin; Yeast.
I only tried one once and that was enough.
They really sound temping, gosh ... what had I being missing.
I have eaten them lots of times. Seagulls like them rather a lot too. Had them regularly when I was on a sea food diet. I saw food, then ate it. Boom boom.
