Every other human activity seems to have its on-line forum, but I'm finding it hard to locate a vegetarian forum.

Apart from the smart answers, any ideas?

All plants seem to actually do readymeals.. Everywhere else seems to be a box with a recepie to follow and fresh ingredients. As i understand it you want a readymeal?
"Some sort of retro joke?"

Sorry BB that was me, i was being a idiot trying to have a laugh. It was rude of me, i apologise
sorry i thought you said some sort of joke retro lol

AFAIK meals on wheels is a government scheme for elder people who find it hard to go out and get dinner. They do vegetarian options because they have to cater for a wide range of people.

Oh, and HelloFresh doesn't do meals, it sends you the ingredients!

"Then, we’ll deliver those recipes and fresh ingredients to your door, every week, so you can cook delicious dinners of your choice. "

I CAN cook, pretty well (my pals tell me). I want to STOP cooking - getting past it.

I think we've just to keep listing sites so Bainbrig can be a bit rude and snotty.

He'll tire soon enough.

We seem to have drifted away from the original question, although not from the need for it. A lively vegetarian forum might help, as I am sure that I am not the only elderly cook who wants to get out of the kitchen...

Hello douglas, I didn't know it was your day for being let out and slimey.
What about this BB?

It seems though that ALLplants is your best option.
from cookfood.net

"At our kitchen, we prepare food by hand using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. We then freeze our meals at -35°C so it tastes freshly made when you cook it at home (no nasty additives or preservatives required). Most of our food can be heated from frozen (sometimes in minutes in your microwave). Check the instructions below.

THESE COOKING INSTRUCTIONS ARE ONLY A GUIDE. YOUR APPLIANCE MAY HAVE A PERSONALITY OF ITS OWN (OR A DIFFERENT POWER RATING). PLEASE ADJUST ACCORDINGLY."
I think you did old bean, you certainly seem to have got the club memo.

Yes, spath, as I answered earlier, I did actually try cookfoods last autumn, and although they're good, they do tend to use ingredients that don't work too well going from cooked to frozen to cooked (aubergines don't seem to travel too well, nor do their version of roast potatoes).

But to reiterate, an on-line vegetarian forum might help - Mamya's happycow looked promising, and I have now signed up there to see what they can do.

There must be other elderly vegetarians who want to get out of the kitchen!

bainbrig, not sure what you want. When I google vegetarian forums uk I get told there are 4,000,000 hits! Now some of them are going to be junk and some are going to be nice girls who want to show you their melons but surely there is something there? What precisely do you want?
Don’t know where you live but as mentioned before Wiltshire farms might be worth a try
Question Author
Calmck: my earlier comment re. Wiltshire referred to one of their gourmet dishes of frozen omelette, chips and peas. Need I go on?

Woofgang. I don’t care how many hits Google claim, look more carefully.

What ‘precisely I want’ is an active UK forum where people like me, who don’t like frozen omelette and chips, can exchange ideas on ready meal deliveries.

For my purposes, they obviously have to be UK based, which cuts out loads of them. Plus, they have to ACTIVE. Glance at the dates, and many are moribund. And so on and on.

Do you really think I’d waste my time here if I’d got any useful results on Google?
Question Author
PS On Safari, Googling doesn’t offer a figure for results. How do you get your x-million figures, Woofgang.
I'm a bit scared to suggest this, but have you tried Apetito... who deliver hot meals? They have vegetarian options and vegan.

I've just put

Vegetarian Forums into Google

came back - About 14,400,000 results (0.32 seconds)

Using Win 10 Google Chrome

Admittedly most will be of no use to you.

Hope you find something to suit.
I don't know if this is of any use...
I believe it's a downloadable pdf of resources etc for older vegetarians with info on deliverable meals.

https://vegetarianforlife.org.uk/resources/publications/dinners-to-your-door

This looks like a nationwide delivery service...

https://www.itsthyme.co.uk/collections/vegan-vegetarian

And here's a selection from Abel and Cole...

Yes, I know that this doesn't answer your "forum" question....but, do any of these meals from Waitrose take your fancy? Their delivery service is particularly good.

https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/shop/search?&searchTerm=vegetarian%20ready%20meals
I see you've made an enquiry on Happy Cow.
