Very sad - only 60 too - hope the prognosis turns out to be not too awful
How sad. Although prostate cancer is one of the most treatable. We went through the same last year when my father was diagnosed with it. Thankfully he has the all clear now after drug therapy and radiotherapy. He has to go every 6 months for a check for the next couple of years. All in all last year was pretty horrid and I do feel for anyone going through this.

BUT you gentleman must make sure you keep an eye on your waterworks and MUST go and have it checked out by a doc if you have problems peeing or blood OR go for screening once you reach that age. Please.

Excuse me?
Let's hope the treatment has been successful.
Am sorry to hear this.

One of my uncles left it too late to see his doctor.

Thank you, Islay....no I hadn't seen this....I note it was found during a regular check up so he may have had no symptoms yet and it's been caught early....I do hope so....

I don't know enough about prostate cancer...and I should....but I do know some men who have ignored the early signs, thinking....it's a blip....it'll go away......
So as Barmaid and Islay have said, gentlemen.....be aware of the symptoms...have checks.....I quite like having you around...and I adore having Stephen around....I wish him well.....x
Women get used to intimate tests and procedures from quite early on and that continues through their life, with men it's often not until middle age that they may need a personal examination.

That's possibly why they seem so reticent.
Exactly, Mamya.....
Spath....you need to go away now and not ruin a thread which could just make some men take note....and stop calling those who could be bringing something important to their attention fools....that is very rude.
