not that food, goods, seem to be getting smaller, as i bought a bottle of wine on line and it looks smaller than the one we had the other day, and noticed that things like loo rolls don't last nearly as long, whilst prices are going up, are we being conned.?

Not your imagination emmie, chocolate bars are a classic example.
There's been a lot in the media lately about shrinking goods so it's not your imagination (apart from that bottle of wine).
Probably not emmie. You can however compare online, under the product description it will tell you how many sheets per roll so you can do a comparison. Same with other stuff, look and compare the price for 100g of one product with another x

didn't think i was going doolally, at least not yet,
looked at the loo rolls as you do and they are half the size of yesteryear, same for choc bars, sweet tins and many other items, not right, and certainly not fair on the consumer.
good grief! shrinkflation eh?
AB is a wondrous seat of education.

I'm sure I've seen brands of loo roll stating how many sheets are on each roll.
Not that I've counted to see if they are telling the truth or not.

Blocks of cheese seem to be smaller too.
Re the loo rolls, are you eating more curries of late ?

OG
don't eat curries of any description, lol
if you get more luxurious loo rolls, you'll probably get fewer sheets than those with thinner, cheaper paper.
Classic example is Kellogg's corn flakes. What used to be a 500 gram box is now only 450 grams for the same price.

i buy washing powder which is expensive, it does last for a while but what used to be 50 washes is now down to 45 for a lot more money. Last one i bought was a staggering 11 quid.
coffee is another one, my brand costs over 6 quid now, outrageous.
Crickey 11 quid for washing powder? Try this. As good as any(according to "She who must be obeyed")

It's definitely your imagination with the wine bottle...wine only comes in clearly designated sizes...

That list is missing the 50cl bottles that are readily available these days.
