I'm looking for a frizzante wine, not a fizzy one like prosecco, cava or champers but one with a slight fizz, reasonably priced and about 10% alcohol. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Have you tried Piemontello?

Or if you can find some Cremant de Limoux or similar you are getting Champagne in everything but name. (Like making a pasty but only being allowed to call it a Cornish pasty if it's made in Cornwall...)
'Prosecco' and 'frizzante' aren't mutually exclusive descriptions. Indeed, the majority of frizzante wines are probably Proseccos. e.g. http://tinyurl.com/jycturd

or you could try a Rosé:

Nope, not tried any of them. For the wine in an m&s dine in for two I got a bottle of frizzante bianco and it was very nice, only 10% alcohol which makes a change. Am trying to find something similar at any/all outlets.

Thanks chris, I regularly shop at sainsburys so will give that one a go next time.
This 'frizzante' wasn't as fizzy as prosecco or champers, much more to my taste.
we got this with a meal deal at m&s, it was quite nice, although I prefer a robust red.

Dave.
Portuguese vinho verde might suit you
Question Author
That's the one I really enjoyed Webbo, will get it again when the dine in deals are on offer, it's currently selling for £7.50 a bottle!
I'd forgotten about vino verde atalanta, I really like it, same with the pink stuff..mateus rose..both have a bit of a fizz.
Thanks x
A Pinot Grigio Arneis from King Valley, sold through M&S, a tenner discounted 20% if you buy six.......and very tasty for a grigio, a slight fizz to it.
