rotten chips - I got them at a party once - yuck. Maybe the hostess didn't know how to use it properly I don't know.
A few related posts below - I have never had one.
I used to have one of these, and yes the chips are good, but if you need spare parts for it, prepare to re-mortgage your house.....not joking!

I now have a halogen oven and the home made chips I produce in them are second to none and the spare parts for a halogen oven are sensibly priced. I would never buy another actifry, supposing of course that I won the lottery to fund the purchase.
Trial and error - once you get the amount of oil and the time you like (eg. 20 mins)
I have a Phillips airfryer, the small one, does lovely chips and you can cook chicken, chops etc in it. The meat comes out beautifully moist and tender. Bought the smaller version off Amazon, wish I had got the larger one now, so that I could cook a whole chicken on it.
Decent potatoes and a good oil and the chips are very good. I would say cook for 30 minutes.

I've had mine 3 years and had to buy a new paddle a while ago, £15.00, hardly a re-mortgage!!
Meg...
£15 is a lot of dosh to some people and it is about half the cost of a halogen oven which is much more versatile.
