I'm just starting a 2011 and it seems fairly good, compared to some riojas, that is.

I've just had a Ch. Amanieu, a Cotes du Bordeaux, the Damanieu vignoble, richer than its cheaper Merlot cousin that comes in at £6-50, both 09 - I prefer the Merlot and it's a steal. Another one at the same bracket is the Lanquedoc Terre d'Anian, 2011, and excellent at the price point.

It's not cheap, there or here, but that's OK as I'm going for quality rather than quantity in the future. No more than two small glasses, about half a bottle, of an evening.
