just made my first ones. You know the ones in M&S, better than that, apart from the one I made out of off-cuts. Honestly, I cant believe how good they look.(haven't tasted them yet, mind. In fact they look so brill it's a shame to eat them).

Cheese scones beat any other type of baking into a cocked hat in my opinion, my mouth is watering just at the thought of freshly baked ones....

^The one in her picture looks catmandu.
I'd have to get sour milk, but I might try it for the craic.
Have you made that, elina?
Recipe says you can use milk with lemon juice Svejk to make it sour. Yes I've made soda bread a long time back.
I bake cheese scones to have with leek and potato soup. They're lush.By that I mean they compliment each other :D

If I have to slog all the way to Asdas (30 yds) for a lemon, I may as well get buttermilk(if they've got it) I might have a bash over the w/end, watch this space. ;)
Why not have a go at choux pastry? You can add cheese for cheese puffs or make eclairs if you fancy something sweet.
Very easy and fun.
Just sounds posh.
Not too sure buttermilk is readily available svejk. You can buy lemon juice in a bottle not just fresh, cuts out the messy squeezing.
Not sure if we need to know if you're having a bash over the weekend...
