Swallow's Nest???

What is this??

I was watching a show called Iron Chef on the Food Network here in the US (have it in UK as well?)...and they used this as the key ingredient in all their dishes...but after a 1-hour show, I still couldn't figure out what the heck it was!

Wow...that description sure does sound like what I saw them cooking with on the show...and they went on and on about how rare & expensive the stuff was!!

So that must be it, and somehow, they must call it Swallow's Nest in some places...that is gross!

swallows nest is the **** from the nest of the bird that is nesting in the nest of the bird called the swallow. It is delicious and nice to eat .
