How about soaking 3 or 4 dried apricots overnight in water, chopping them up, and adding to porridge?
I think porridge is as good a breakfast as you can find.
fruit n fibre..flakes with fruit....go to ALDI only £1.45 per box compared to nearly £3 in others...benefits flakes with red berries....like red berry special k no different other than the price....malties....wide selection of cereals there..
We mix one bag each of two brands of muesli. The cheaper one is a bit short on fruit and nuts, while the dearer one has too much of them to appeal to us on its own.
Tried Crunchy Bran- which I enjoyed vm some time ago & sort of forgot about.....glad to be reminded. Also used to get Jordan's Crunchy Nut cereal which was good too..
Jordans make a crunchy breakfast cereal, which comes in different varieties.
I like the one with raisins and almonds in, and the cranberry one is worth looking for. I eat mine with that delicious Greek Yoghurt that Lidl sells in those great buckets. Its so cheap that you can spoon loads onto your plate without breaking the bank !
Try alternating your breakfasts. Porridge, mini shredded wheat, cornflakes, malt wheats, then at the weekend, scrambled eggs, omlette, even try sardines on toast.
