I Am Speechless

My daughter has a habit of treating my clothes as her own and it drives me insane that quite often she doesn't have the courtesy to ask if she can borrow something.
I went to the shops this morning and bumped into her best friend. I commented on her skirt and said I had one the same that I hadn't worn yet. The friend informed me that my daughter hand lent it to her.
I couldn't get home fast enough and when I checked my wardrobe, the skirt was missing.
Someone is in or a severe ear bending and draconian sanctions will be applied.
Does grounding for 10 years sound too severe?

I'm thinking....a speechless MrsO.....Now how can I arrange for that to happen again when I visit Whitby!.....

That's appalling, mrsO - cheeky enough to borrow for herself, but just not acceptable to lend it out to a mate. I wonder what the T&Cs of the loan were?!

you and you daughter wear similar clothes a) you dress very young. b) she dresses very old. :) :)

I gained a little last year...the daughter lost a little.....we've met at the same size and she has great taste in clothes....luckily for me.

She did once ask to borrow something of mine.....I was chuffed til she told me it was for a fancy dress party...x

I suppose I should be flattered that a 19 year old wants to wear my clothes but it is blooming annoying.
I can't get over the cheek of her lending one of my brand new garments to a friend.

There is nothing else for it - I will have to start wearing elasticated waisted clothing in beige

You don't have to go for the complete look, but surely there are items of clothing that can be worn by a 19 year old and a 40 year old.....or even much older in MrsO's case......☺

Reverse psychology mrs o.. Find HER best & lend it to onw of your friend, that should sort it.

My autumn/winter look tends to be skinny jeans and boots. In summer it is floaty skirts & dresses but nothing shorter than knee length.
I don't think I dress too young....well,apart from the biker jacket
