I am desperately trying to loose weight but am sorry to admit that I love my food too much, I have cut down but need a boost.  I am looking for a "miracle" diet pill that works - any recommendations....

There is no such thing.

I have agood book that will help, it has two pages

Page 1  Eat sensible

Page 2  Exercise

if you love your food but want to diet i would highly recommend weight watchers, i go and i have lost 1st 4 lbs so far, its based on points and you can still have treats, as long as you point them.

The Times recently tested Zotrim from holland and barretts, the people who tested it lost up to 1/2 a week off their waistlines!  I have run it past a GP who says that the ingredients are completely safe.

Good luck!

Further to what boobesque suggests, I'd second WW. They also have another scheme called "NoCount" which is basically a list of foods you can eat as much as you like of 3 x a day - plus an allowance (they'll explain how to work this out) for treats and/or supplements to make your main diet more interesting. De-mystified - it's basically a low fat, high fibre, no sugar (except natural fruit sugar) way of eating and despite my scepticism, it does fill you up, it does make you feel less bloated and it does remove cravings for fried and sugary stuff. In 4 weeks, I lost 1 stone and honestly did not feel hungry. Hopefully, as well, this type of approach will set me up for the future and ensure I remain at the weight I want to be (when I get there, which won't be too long!)

Easy really isn't it - we all know the theory, but groups like WW - despite being derided in Little Britain do work because the support of others going through the same thing helps you to stick to your resolve and re-formulate the way you look at food.

not a miracle pill but Orlistat is good. available on prescription from your GP it basically stops your body absorbing 70% of the fat you eat. so if you have a weakness for cheese, choc or anything high in fat it is ideal. Two years ago i lost 4 stone in 10 months, I ate healthily and was never hungry. If you do over indulge in fatty food you basically poo the fat straight out, not v nice, so psychologically you retrain your cravings. Before, I could eat a pound of cheese in one go, now its a dozen apples!!!!!!!!
