What is it that makes it separate?

It seems to be a bit random sometimes, when making drinks myself and even bought ones, mainly at Starbucks though ones I get at Pret with soya milk never seem to.

I bought some soya milk yesterday and was fine this morning making a coffee. I put some in a little bottle to take with me earlier to the hospital as I doubted the lovely RWVS ladies would have any. Put it in the coffee I got and it separated arghhh!

Is there a knack to it? I thought maybe heat but it still seems to vary. I had hoped they had improved things since I last bought soya milk but seems not.

It's nature's way of saying that milk comes from a cow...not from a bean!
Eve, have you ever tried almond milk? It's just as good as soy milk.
Soya milk can raise testosterone levels in women. not good.
Almond milk is the answer. I have it on my cereal which i'm eating as i type this morning. At the moment its a little bit more expensive than soya milk, but its lighter in taste and texture and low in fat and sugars.

Thanks, will give almond milk a try, they didn't have any in little Tesco or Aldi so will need to get to a larger supermarket.

I will they did smaller amounts so cheaper to try and not to much to waste if you don't like it.
