He must have gone to the pub.
never call me sweety :-(
Question Author
It was a typo. Should have been 'sweaty'.
Sorry, I don't know, Honey. X
Question Author
Why don't you know, sweety? I thought you were welsh.
I was born in Croydon, till.
Hope all's well with you. ;)
Question Author
Oofh! Croydon?

I'm fine thanks. Got a bit bored topping and tailing 1567 blackcurrants. Now doing them instages.
What's worse, being born in Croydon or accused of being Welsh:-)
Being Scottish!
Does it really take 1567 blackcurrants to make 2lbs and did you actually count them, dearest?
Afternoon gorgeous not you sweaty, carrust or shoota ok.
Sod-off then tony:-)
LOL.
Tilly -
In Welsh, the letter "C" is always as in Cold never as in Ceiling.
So Cerist would be Ker-ist
Clarach is a bit harder to explain because the "CH" at the end is pronounced as Van Gough used to be pronounced
I hope that helps, cariad ;)
Question Author
Thank you, WyeDyed. That was helpful.
^^^
Actually "Bach" (the composer) would have been a better analogy.
Question Author
I think I can do the Bach, rather than the Gough.

(Or I might just say Clara to myself)
Cerist is like /kerist/

Ceri is /keri/ which I always find a bit weird

and yeah I think the ch sound in Clarach is like ch in Loch

why did you think some with a name like Svejk was er Welsh ?
I changed my name from Taliesin, Peter.
People couldn't spell it????
For those that don't know - Svejk is a Danish word meaning sweaty
