Following the suspected drug-related deaths of 8 young people over a four week period, people are asking if the police are turning a blind eye to small time dealing in NI. These dealers would presumably pay for their immunity by acting as informers for the police.
If this is the case, is it time the police rethought their tactics?

They've always turned a blind eye. They turn a blind eye to many things.
The drug is impure - since its sale er isnt licensed

the last big rash of deaths was due to contamination with anthrax
I guess one has to be invoved to know. There are always priorities and insufficient resource to tackle eveything at once. The deaths ought to raise the profile though. It's not the small time dealing so much, it's this particularly fatal source of drugs surely ? In which case they'd want to trace it back to wherever it came from and catch as many of the 'larger guys' as they can, and throw the book at them.
Anthrax ? That almost sounds deliberate. Surely not.
