Does anyone actually use all the settings and buttons on a microwave oven?

They seem to have things for dialling in weights, type of food, power settings and other details.

I just select an amount of seconds or minutes and press Go.

I think you would need training by Nasa to use one the way it is intended.

I have a very basic microwave so it doesn't have many options.

I use some but not all. My last microwave which was also a grill had chip and pizza settings which were very useful.

I was never into using microwave ovens until the last few years. I never knew a microwave could be used for cooking just about anything.
Unlike a gay gentleman, a microwave oven doesn't brown your meat :-)

Leave a spoon in the dish you are microwaving - better then most television programmes.
