Does Anyone Remember That Rash I Had The Other Day?

well apparently it's most likely the cherry tomatoes in the frozen meditteranean stir fry veg pack i've bought from tescos and i have had a portion stir fried with nearly every meal for the past 4 days. the veg is very unusual and absolutely gorgeous but the rash is similar to the one i get from beetroot or strawberries,

how odd, I don't know anyone sensitive to tomatoes, how did you diagnose that?

it was my daughter who said it's the same as the beetroot/strawberry rash and when she said that i worked out what i had started eating recently and looked at the packet of stir fry and it's the only red thing in there.

certain red foods yes always has been, i can;t eat strawberry jam, any sponge cake with strawberry filling, can;t eat those strawberry tarts you get with a strawberry in a red jelly and a swirl of cream on top, can;t eat beetroot or red cabbage either.

Allergy to tomato is fairly common unless the tomato is well cooked. Have you tried boiling up the red wine, Dot? ;-)

I never buy red wine. lol i tried some mulled wine at my son's at christmas and it was vile

Stewing crushed tomatoes in red wine with a bit of brown sugar added would make a yummy topping for some vanilla ice cream. :)

some people do get allergic to tomatoes....have you ever had it before? be careful of repeated exposure now as the rash/reaction may get worse. certainly avoid similar tomatoes in the future.
